The invention relates to the use of at least one corrosion inhibitor provided in an aqueous solution and selected from molybdenum compounds, geminal diphosphonic acids, phosphonocarboxylic acids, and from polycarboxylic acids in order to inhibit pitting and/or crevice corrosion of high-grade steel, nickel and nickel alloys.
