The multi-function pedal has means for combining the function of a brake pedal with the function of an accelerator pedal. The different functions are generated using at least two different movements of the pedal. One movement can be swivelling a foot plate (1) and the other movement can be lifting an arm of the pedal. The lifting movement produces a brake signal and the swivel movement produces an accelerator signal.
