The heat-insulating cladding consists of a first sheet (2) which is transparent to a specific range of wavelengths and a second sheet (4) which reflects wavelengths in this range,. The layers are separated by a gap (3a, 3b), through which a gas flows and which may contain a third sheet (11). Independent claims are included for: (a) a facade for a building which is fitted with the cladding; and (b) a method for insulating a building using the cladding.
