Nuclear spin resonance tomography with improved imaging based on separate selection of different spin collectives, i.e. chemically displaced water and fat, while the other spin collective is suppressed
Nuclear spin resonance device using a new algorithm based on a 3-point Dixon method for separation of image information from spin collectives with different chemical displacement (i.e. water and fat). The algorithm is based on continuation of the phases over overlapping pixel areas (phase unwrapping), starting with areas of high signal amplitude and working successively to areas of lower amplitude. These are then assigned to the correct spin species, e.g. water or fat. An Independent claim is made for a method for provision of images of spin collectives with different chemical displacement using nuclear spin resonance tomography based on different phases.
