The appliance has a support table (12) and a glue application station (32), e.g. a glue gun (38). The table is at an angle of 60-90 deg , esp. 80 deg relative to the horizontal. The table has a stop rail (24) at the lower end to support the ends (22) of the profiles (14) to be treated. The stop rail can be lowered, and the table also has a holder (26) to hold the profiles individually or together. The holder is a clamp unit (30) or a vacuum device (28). The appliance is computer-controlled.
