Arrangement for generation of high frequency fields in the examination volume (100) of a magnetic resonance device has a multiplicity of resonator segments around the examination volume that each consist of a conductor element parallel to the longitudinal axis of the main magnetic field magnets and a capacitor. The resonator segments are electromagnetically decoupled from each other and each segment has its own transmitter channel over which an HF voltage signal is supplied with and individual phase and amplitude. An Independent claim is also included for a corresponding nuclear magnetic resonance device with an arrangement of resonator segments forming a body coil. The associated capacitors serve to electromagnetically decouple the segments.
