The message is generated and/or sent in such a way that it includes in a co-transmitted specification block at least one reference to at least one file that is stored in a memory outside the mobile radio apparatus or in a device connected to the apparatus. The reference may be implemented in a header field. The reference may be a universal resource identifier (URI). An Independent claim is also included for the following; (1) an apparatus for generating, sending, receiving and/or processing multimedia messages; (2) for a software program; (3) for a software program product.
