Acrylic resin for flame-retardant plastics comprises: (A) 4-15 wt.% phosphorus compound(s) (I); (B) 1-4 wt.% cyclic organo-sulfur compound(s) (II); (C) 20-95 wt.% (meth)acrylate; (D) 0-75 wt.% comonomer; (E) 0-75 wt.% polymer soluble in (C) or (D), to a total of 100 wt.%; and (F) initiator. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Acrylic glass obtained by polymerization of this resin; (2) Use of a synergistic mixture of 4-15 wt.% (I) and 1-4 wt.% (II), for flame proofing acrylic resin, with respect to total (I), (II) and resin.
