The front structure of a motor vehicle has deformation elements which consist of two or more sections (10a-10f) each of which are interconnected by a collapsing point, whereby the sections of the deformation elements are mounted or directed so that they occupy a defined new position after the yielding of the collapsing point as a result of impact-form force action. The deformation elements, which are installed to reinforce the front bonnet (1), are located between an outer shell (2) and support shell (3) of the front structure installed beneath it.
