A user is able to use a terminal to exchange data with a central computer (server) connected to the network. The server has access to a database, and the user is charged by a network provider for a connection to the server. A dialog-capable program with access to suitable data is implemented on the server. After the end of data exchange, the connection is automatically interrupted. Speech dialog is performed locally using programs loaded on the terminal.
