In a process to make bulk grain solids, ingredients are introduced from below into a fluid bed into which especially a number of chemical reactants are introduced by jet in a stoichiometric ratio. By-products, especially water and carbon dioxide, are evaporated and removed together with the fluidized flow. The reaction temperature, chemical equilibrium and granular properties are regulated by the fluidized medium temperature, fluidization rate, residence time of materials within the fluidized layer and spray rate. In order to make granular salt caustic solution and liquid acid are introduced with air in a multi-jet process. The liquids introduced by jet are organic, inorganic and/or both. Monoethanolamine-sulfate granules are made by the combination of concentrated sulfuric acid with monoethanolamine in air in a fluidized bed at a temperature of 130-150 deg C. Sodium monochoroacetate granules is effected using jets discharging monochloro-acetic acid and caustic soda with air in the fluidized bed at 70-80 deg C.
