The non-return valve for use in hydraulic coal mining equipment comprises a casing (2) with several connections (3 - 6) connected by a central bore (7). This contains a spring-loaded valve piston (8) and a control piston (10). The pistons are connected by a separate control slide (11) which can move axially in a bore in the control piston and fits against the valve piston.
