The motor cooling uses a heat exchanger (2a) for transferring the waste heat from the stator to a cooling medium fed through a cooling channel (6a) having a circular flow cross-section, provided by a pipe (13) positioned between an inner mantle (3a) and an outer mantle (4a) of the heat exchanger, embedded in a material with a high thermal conductivity.
