The arrangement has a closed drive belt (180) with inner and outer sides and rollers (150A,150B) arranged in a plane with and about a coil core (120) to be wound, of which at least one is a drive roller. The drive belt is fed round the rollers and inwards to the core between two adjacent pulley rollers whose separation is smaller than the smallest width of the coil core to be wound, whereby the outside of the belt largely encloses the coil core. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a coil core winding arrangement and a method of feeding cores for winding with an inventive arrangement.
