Ultrasonic measurement system has at least two parallel profiled rails (1) with an electronic housing (3) and clamp- on ultrasonic transducer forming a rail system which is attached using tensioning bands, chains or magnets to pipes or containers. The rail system and mountings serve to position and hold the ultrasonic transducer and the complete control and analysis electronics in any chosen measurement position.
