The actuator consists of an electric valve coil (4) and a switch (1), (dis)connecting the coil to and from electric power source (5). A freewheel device (2) stores the coil energy, while the coil is held in working position. A de-clamping module (3) taps the coil stored energy to return the valve from working to base position. The de-clamping module is in series between coil and switch, while the freewheel device is in parallel to the coil and de-clamping module.
