Floor tile has means of detachable interconnection with other tiles comprising a tongue (10) on at least one side edge and a groove (3) on the opposite edge forming an upper (20) and a lower (4) lip. An additional groove (9) is formed between the underside (7) of the tile and the tongue and extends over the length of the side edge to form a lower lip (8) which when the two tiles are interconnected fits at least partially beneath the lower lip of the main groove.
