A door closure comprises a door leaf which can be lowered into a closed position in front of the oven opening; and a closing unit for holding the door leaf in the closed position and pressing against the edge of the opening. The closing unit has a holding part (6) joined at one end to the door leaf by a hinge and at the other end by a counter holder. Preferred Features: The door leaf can be flexibly hung so that the leaf lies against the edge of the oven opening in a horizontal movement by pivoting the holding part. The counter holder and the holding part have sliding surfaces for forming a hinge.
