The magnetic coil system has superconductive conductor structures, with short-circuiting via at least one superconductive switch (S0) supplied with an operating current in a persistent mode, further superconductive switches (S1) connected between respective points of the magnetic coil system winding, for separate short-circuiting of respective parts of the latter. An Independent claim for an operating method for a superconductive nuclear magnetic resonance magnetic coil system is also included.
