The method involves simultaneously withdrawing a number of insulated conductor wires from storage devices (18), winding them to a winding length (13) of the desired coil (15) shape and cutting to length, pulling a suitable number of lengths into the plate packet and connecting them together at the ends. The conductor wires are stripped at the ends and electrically and mechanically joined before pulling the lengths into the plate packet. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a stator plate packet manufactured in accordance with the inventive method.
