The outer layer is a completely fluorinated, high melting fluoropolymer. Its outer surface forms the front. Its inner surface is intimately bonded with and carries a thin glass layer. A front intermediate layer of a fluoropolymer is bonded to the glass. The active layer includes solar cells with connected electric leads. The back layer forms an outer surface of the module. The outer layer is a completely fluorinated, high melting fluoropolymer. Its outer surface (22) forms the front. Its inner surface (24) is intimately bonded with and carries a thin glass layer (36). A front intermediate layer (28) of a fluoropolymer is bonded to the glass. The active layer (30) includes solar cells (32) with connected electric leads (41). The back layer forms an outer surface (38) of the module.
