Oil-cooled transformers are often monitored by means of a measuring chamber (1) for the presence of hydrogen, hydrogen indicating cracking products dissolved in the transformer oil. In the event of leakage, however, the transformer oil (11) can also penetrate the measuring chamber, which can lead to, inter alia, measuring errors.
