The transmission has the sunwheel of its first planetary set (P1) fixed to the casing. The input drive is to a shaft (1) connected directly to the sunwheel of the second planetary set (P2). The output drive is via a shaft (2) connected to the crown wheel of the third planetary set (P3) A shaft (3) is permanently connected to the sunwheel of the third planetary set (P3) and to the web of the second planetary set. Another shaft (4) is permanently connected to the web of the first planetary set, and a further shaft (5) is permanently connected to the web of the third planetary set. There is also a shaft (6) connecting the crown wheels of the first and second sets. All the sets are coupled to the shafts and switching elements (e.g. 03, 04, 05).
