Device for fixing flat, plate-like components on facades, high-pitched roofs, or similar constructions comprises a support profile (1) connected to the construction, and retaining elements partly engaging around a partial section of the component. The retaining elements have a fixing arm with a U-shaped bend (4) at one end. The width of the bend is greater than the width of the arm. The inner side of the bend sections running perpendicular and parallel to the fixing arm have an elastomer insert (7) or a similar coating. Preferred Features: The retaining elements are made of a non-rusting metal material. The protrusion of the bend of the retaining element relative to the fixing arm extends on both sides to receive the lower ends of two adjacent plate-like components.
