The heat exchanger is installed between the water heating boiler and the chimney and condenses approximately 80% of the water vapor in the flue gases. The latent heat of evaporation of the condensed water is recovered and heats the air for combustion of the fuel. Filters between the heat exchanger and the chimney remove solid particles, acids and salts of acids formed by the combustion of the fuel.
