The roller shutter has a number of successive slats coupled together one below the other, with a termination rail at the bottom end of the roller shutter and guide rails at the sides for guiding its movement upon rotation of a winding shaft by an electric drive. At least one of the slats has at least 2 segments (2.1,2.2,2.3) with different optical characteristics, coupled together via at least one coupling element (4.1,4.2).
