The automatic brake lock for a baby carriage, and the like, has a brake cylinder (3) with a bolt and spring to lock the wheels. The brake cylinder is operated by a pull cable (2) and brake bar (1) at the handle, to release the brake action against the spring. The brake cylinder is fitted to the axle by an adjustable mounting (4).
