Artificial nose comprises: a flow body (1) for guiding inspiration and expiration gas between device input and patient ends of the body; first and second sensor connections (4, 6) for measurement of physical or chemical properties of the air flow and; a humidifying unit (8) for increasing the air moisture content. The air supply can also be warmed if necessary.
