Axial piston engine in the form of a hydraulic motor or pump has a housing with a cylindrical roller bearing (27) supporting a drive shaft. Surrounding the shaft is a counting collar (30) for a rotational velocity measurement instrument. The inner bearing ring (28) has a thrust disk (29) for axial force transmission with said thrust disk and counting collar formed as a single unit.
