The hydraulic thrust bearing extends axially inside the central opening (800) of the clutch diaphragm (8). The thrust bearing has a fixed body (6) solidly attached to the clutch bell housing, and an axially mobile piston (7) which penetrates inside the opening in the clutch diaphragm, and presses against the diaphragm through an axial ball bearing when hydraulic pressure is injected.
