The present invention relates to a process for the calculation of the sensing path of the k - matrix under given conditions for the investigation of an object by means of a magnet - - - device resonance tomography (mrt - device). The mrt - the apparatus has, inter alia, a gradient amplifier, with associated gradient coils (3), an input - display - terminal (21), a sequence control (18) and a system computer--possibly (20) as well as an analog - digital - converter (adc). The method according to the invention is characterized by the following steps: dollars a - input of the boundary conditions in the sequence control (18) or in the system computer--possibly (20) via the input - display - terminal (21) of dollars a - calculation of the sensing path of the k - matrix, taking into account the boundary conditions due to the sequence control (18) and / or through the system computer--possibly (20) of dollars a - determination of the gradient current curves, also by means of the sequence control (18) and / or through the system computer--possibly (20), which in the case of application to the corresponding gradient coils (3) with the use of the adc to a scanning along the previously calculated sensing path lead.
