The sample-and-hold device has a holding capacitor (1), coupled to the input terminal receiving the electrical input voltage signal (V-IN) via a controlled sampling switch (2) and a controlled mirror switch (3) receiving a control signal from a regulating device (4), detecting the resistance of the controlled mirror switch, with parallel of the sampling switch and the mirror switch. A switching device (7,8) allows a voltage lifting capacitor (5) to be coupled to an auxiliary voltage (VH) or to be connected between the control output of the regulating device and the control inputs of the sampling and mirror switches. An Independent claim for an operating method for a sample-and-hold device is also included.
