The method involves transmitting radio frequency signal from an object, and from a beacon transmitter at a known location to multiple receivers. The time difference between the arrival information of the signals is then calculated at each receiver. Based on the calculated value the location of the object within the area of interest is determined. An Independent claim is also included for a system that determines the location of an object.
