The present invention relates to a system (10, 40) for the detoxification of a toxic chlorinated organic compound (a, b), wherein the system comprising: a detoxification of the process plant (11, 41) for decomposing of the toxic chlorinated organic compound (a, b) to a harmless organic compound by addition of an additive, the a hydrogen donor (c), an alkaline substance (d) and a noble metal catalyst (e), to the toxic chlorinated organic compound (a, b), which is stored in a container or in a legacy device is contained, in order to produce harmless products; a regeneration process plant (12, 13, 14, 15, 16) for the regeneration of the products which, due to the detoxification of the process plant (11, 41) have been erhlaten, for the production of regenerated products; and a recycling a direction (21, 23, 24, 25, 26, 44) for feeding of the products, the of the detoxification of the process plant (11, 41) have been obtained, to the regeneration process plant (12, 13, 14, 15, 16), and for the supply of the regenerated products to the detoxification of the process plant (11, 41), so that the regenerated products as material for the decomposition of the toxic chlorinated organic compound (a, b) are reused.
