Wind-up with pneumatic package change mechanism for stretch film includes rotary pneumatic connector with multiple control line ports

Wind-up has revolving head carrying two tube mandrels that are used alternately with pneumatic control of actuation sequence at package change. The control lines are taken through rotary connector (1), the stator of which has seven connections channels (2) alternating with seven leakage channels (3). The pneumatic connection between two sides of the revolving head is made by hoses through the hollow shaft of the second support roll. The stator (1) also accepts the stub axles of the surface drive drum. The rotor (4) is attached to the revolving head. The leakage channels (3) are sealed by two internal O-rings and a closely fitting sealing ring. Compressed air is supplied at 2 bar and the pneumatic cylinder for the tube mandrels is of smaller diameter but longer stroke.
