The device for connection of an outlet valve of a fluid tank, particularly for hot water, involves an input connection fitted to the outlet valve (V) and an adapter (A) sealingly fitted in an aperture (W1) in the fluid tank wall (W). The adapter has a through passage channel, in which the input connection is insertable in a sealed manner, so that in the completely inserted state its entry end (1.1) is located inside the fluid tank. On the adapter is a cut-off device (3) for closing the through passage channel. The cut-off device is arranged outside the fluid tank and has a closure component movable in a cross-sectional plane of the through passage channel. In the opened state of the cut-off device, the cross-section of the through-flow channel is freed for insertion of the input connection. To close the cut-off device, the inupt connection is partly withdrawn from the throughflow channel to a position determined by a releasable securing device (4).
