The system for waste water disposal and fresh water supply in especially rail vehicles has a cupboard component (16) standing above a floor surface and with separate waste water (12) and fresh water (14) sections. Below the cupboard component is located a stowage space which is let into the floor surface and freely accessible from inside the cupboard. The stowage space is the inner area of a pedestal upon which is installed the cupboard component. The pedestal has a tubular or open cubic geometry. The volume of the stowage space is such that a drain hose connected to a waste water suction device can be stored within it.
