The waste bin consists of a basket and an insert to hold the waste. The waste bin is firmly anchored to the ground or can be screwed to a solid foundation by a baseplate (5). A lock (6) is inseparably connected to the basket. The waste bin may be in hexagonal form to accommodate a round insert of plastic material, or rectangular to accommodate a galvanized wire basket.
