The coupling has a motor, drive element, driven friction element and a piezoceramic element with a piezoelectric Langerin vibrator (8) and a piezoceramic resonator. An inverse piezoelectric effect exists and thus the piezoceramic element is compressed or deformed. Vibration is caused by passing a.c. current through the piezoceramic resonator. Acoustic near field levitation and radiation pressure can be produced to raise the drive friction element.
