Processing equipment is provided on a removable baseplate (2) inside a carrying case (1). A sample can be aligned and clamped with a fixing device (4) and then swiveled and cut with a cutting wheel (5). An adjusting screw (c) displaces the surface of the sample with respect to the fine-grained outer surface of the cutting wheel, and it is ground finely. While clamped, the sample can be swiveled by 90 degrees about the shaft of the fixing device. A height-adjustable and tiltable holder (3) fixes a digital recording device.
