The push button switch has a main body [1] with a threaded section that screws into a hole. Set into the body is a metal actuator plate [5] that fits on an elastomer [6]. Beneath this is a permanent magnet disc [10]. When pressed a centre element [11] is displaced to close contacts on a circuit board [13]. The magnetic reaction force returns that actuator when released.
