The flock applicator (10) is assembled of a container and an application element covered with a layer of flock and provided with openings for the release of the cosmetic substance. During the production process the openings are frequently blocked by the adhesive used for the application of the flock layer. The new device for the application of a flock layer to a cosmetic device is assembled of a holding unit for several rows of applicators, a device for applying the adhesive substance, a device for the addition of the flock layer, and a device for the removal of adhesives from the openings, working with pressurized air.
