An automotive child's safety seat has an essentially L-shaped shell with a backrest (12) with armrests (14) and a seat base. The transition zone between the seat and armrests has apertures (16) through for a three-point safety harness which anchors the seat in place. The seat base has a pan whose position is adjustable between an upright seating position and an inclined rest position. The seat base has a number of position-holes which locate the seat pan in the chosen position.
