The application head for a fluid delivery device has an inlet designed so that it can be connected to a fluid source, an outlet in fluid communication with the inlet and provided with a number of holes, and a distance piece with a forward end with a fluid connection to the inlet, a rear end with a fluid connection to the outlet, and a flow path from the forward end to the rear end, whereby the flow path extends with divergence along a substantial section. A quick release mechanism is installed at the inlet. Independent claims are included for a fluid delivery device, a glue application device, and a flexo-folding box gluing machine.
