The connector for mounting tubes (1, 26) at right angles comprises a ring (12) with a trapezium-shaped cross-section which fits around the first tube. A clamp with two jaws (14, 15) fits on to one side of this and the jaws are tightened by a screw (16). The other side of the clamp has a trapezium-shaped recess (24), into which a plug (11) fits. The other tube is then fitted over the plug.
