The lock for a frameless door has a first plate (10) for firm fixture to one side of the door, a rotary knob (101) rotatably arranged on the first plate, a second plate (14) securely fixed to another side of the door and an indicator device (144) rotatably supported by the second plate. The second plate has a through passage hole (141) which accommodates the indicator device rotatably. An installation seat (11) is firmly fitted between the first and second plates. Screws (102) extend through the first plate and the installation seat and engage in threaded holes in pins (149) on the second plate. The installation seat incorporates a slide groove (113), which extends along a direction transversal to a thickness of the frameless door. A bolt (13) is slidably accommodated in a slide groove (113) of the installation seat. A spindle (12) has a first end (122) securely fixed to the rotary knob in order to rotate it and a second end (124) securely fixed to the indicator device for its rotation.
