The sealing extrusion (1) is wound up to form a roll with coiled layers lying one upon the other and with the first coiled layer having contact surfaces which touch the contact layers of a further layer. At least one of the touching contact surfaces has a top surface profiling with grooves extending in the longitudinal direction of the sealing extrusion. The grooves of at least one contact surface are configured with a rectangular, triangular or U-form cross-section. The grooves are arranged directly next to each other, and the depth of the grooves lies especially within the range of 0.12mm to 0.18mm.
