The brake system for a jogger pushchair has two similar braking devices (20) fitted on the inner side of the two rear wheels. Each brake device has a steel wire (132,133) connected to a synchronizing unit (30) which is operated by a hand lever (13) via an additional steel wire (131). Two brake discs (12) are mounted on both sides of the rear wheels and each have a flange installed on the circumference and brought into engagement with a brake shoe (22) of brake lever (21) rotatably fastened on the support tube of the pushchair.
