The seat rail (1) is constructed as a part of a longitudinal adjuster, and in the region of the rear end has an end stop for a second seat rail. A corrugation (21) is provided in the wall of the seat rail between the end stop and rear end (19) of the wall. The corrugation extends at an angle to the vertical, with the base of the corrugation extending at an angle of about 45 degrees to the sidewall region (11) and upper wall region (13). The corrugation may extend at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the rail.
