The oil filter has two additional protective screens, the first (13) of which is located at a distance from the outer face of the main filter element (5) and co-axial to it, and the second (14) of which is located at a distance from the outer face of an additional filter element (8) for the bypass oil in a gap between a bypass valve (6) and working face of the additional filter element for the bypass oil. Each protective screen has a through-opening (15,16) for oil feed.
